Program coordinator Dana Chapman and LaSalle Sheriff Scott Franklin watches Ben Randall, deputy sheriff and Olla sub‑station dispatcher, as he reviews information on a computer which will be used to implement the program in the parish. The “R‑U‑‑OK?”® program is a telephone reassurance system being provided by the LaSalle Sheriff’s Office to assist elderly, homebound, and disabled individuals in the parish. It is a computerized system that will make daily telephone calls to subscribers at specified times to verify their health and safety.
