LaSalle Parish Sheriff's Office Detectives monitored a narcotic transaction involving methamphetamine at the parish dumpsters located off of LA Hwy 125 in Tullos last Thursday evening, March 18, 2021. After its completion, deputies stopped a black Chevy Cruze involved in the distribution. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Robert Price, Jr., 27, of Winnfield, and its passenger, Marcus J. Elmore, 22, also of Winnfield.

 

Deputies detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and a subsequent search located partially smoked marijuana cigarettes on the ground by the front passenger door, along with suspected marijuana inside the vehicle. During the investigation it was determined that Marcus J. Elmore was responsible for the distribution of methamphetamine and Robert Price, Jr. provided transportation.

 

Marcus J. Elmore was booked on charges of Distribution of CDS II methamphetamine, Criminal Conspiracy to Distribute CDS II methamphetamine, and possession of CDS I marijuana.

 

Robert Price Jr. was booked on charges of Criminal Conspiracy to Distribute CDS II methamphetamine and possession of CDS I marijuana.
