Four More Narcotic Arrests by LPSO

On Thursday, June 3, 2021, LPSO Detectives went to a residence on Temple St. in Olla, to serve an arrest warrant on Jeffery Bell Jr., for the charge of distribution of illegal narcotics. Detectives obtained evidence that Bell, Jr. had sold synthetic cannabinoids, and a warrant was obtained.
 
Detectives arrived and observed Jeffery Bell, Jr., 23, of Olla, to be outside of the residence wearing a backpack. During a search of Bell, Jr., Detectives located a 9mm handgun in his pocket, along with two large bags of marijuana inside the backpack. Accompanying Bell, Jr. outside was Marcel Turner 21, of Olla. Turner was found to be in possession of marijuana, along with possessing a .380 handgun inside his backpack. Turner's status as a convicted felon prohibits him from possessing a firearm

Jeffery Bell, Jr. was booked on charges of distribution of CDS I synthetic cannabinoids, possession of CDS I marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm with CDS.

Marcel Turner was booked on possession of CDS I marijuana and possession of a firearm by convicted felon. 
 
Two more individuals were booked into the LaSalle Parish Jail this past week on distribution charges after evidence was obtained by LPSO Detectives of illegal narcotics being sold in the Parish. 
 
Jeffrey Bartley, 36, of Jena was booked on two counts of distribution of CDS II methamphetamine
 
Darrell Thompson, 58, of Jena was booked on 2 counts of distribution of CDS II methamphetamine and distribution of CDS I synthetic cannabinoid.
