Louisiana Automated Victim Notification System

LAVNS is an online resource that allows you to search for information regarding an offender’s current custody and case status. It is provided by the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Criminal Justice. You may also register to be notified automatically when an offender is released, transferred, or escapes from a parish facility or has a change in case status.

The LAVNS Service is provided to you in an effort to help keep the public safe and informed. Do not depend solely on LAVNS for your protection. If you feel that you may be at risk, take precautions as if the offender has already been released. We encourage you to make LAVNS part of your safety plan.

To register for Department of Corrections supervised offenders you must contact:
Louisiana Department of Corrections-Crime Victim’s Services Bureau at 1-888-342-6110
